Nona Hendryx

Nona Hendryx is an American singer-songwriter from Trenton, New Jersey who began her career in the early 1960s as a member of a vocal trio and later pursued a solo career in R&B, soul and funk. Her work transitioned from 1960s girl-group soul into more experimental solo projects incorporating rock, new wave, electronic and funk elements, and she has frequently collaborated across genres and participated in cultural and activist initiatives.
