Luciano Chessa is an Italian-born composer, performer, conductor and musicologist, born in Genoa in 1971, who established his career in contemporary classical and experimental music after moving to the United States and working across composition, performance and scholarship. His work combines theatrical performance, experimental electronics and reconstructed Futurist noise instruments (intonarumori), reflecting a sustained engagement with early 20th-century Italian Futurism, archival research and interdisciplinary projects that connect historical avant-garde practices with contemporary experimental composition.
