Richard Addinsell

Richard Addinsell was an English composer from London who began his career in the 1930s writing for cinema and theatre, specialising in film music, light orchestral pieces and concert works. His style drew on late-Romantic harmonies and lyrical, piano-led orchestration—exemplified by the Warsaw Concerto—and his output for film, stage and radio helped shape mid-20th-century British film soundtracks.
