Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson
Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson was an American composer, conductor and pianist born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1932 who began his career in the 1950s and worked across classical, jazz and film and television genres. Emerging from the mid-20th-century African-American musical context, his work moved between concert music, jazz, gospel and blues idioms and included scores for dance, film and television as well as conducting and performance.
