Bang on a Can

Bang on a Can is an American contemporary classical music collective and festival founded in New York City in 1987 that specialises in post-minimalist and experimental repertoire. Its activities include commissioning and performing new works, presenting marathon concerts, running an associated record label and education programmes, and collaborating across rock, jazz, electronic and world-music traditions to expand the contexts in which contemporary classical music is heard.
