Chien Wen-pin

Chien Wen-pin is a Taiwanese conductor who began his career in the late 20th century after studying and working in Europe, specialising in symphonic and operatic repertoire. His programming has combined standard Western repertoire with contemporary works and pieces by Taiwanese composers, reflecting an interest in cultural exchange and in modernising orchestral and operatic presentation in Taiwan and the wider region.
