The Royal Manchester College of Music

The Royal Manchester College of Music was a conservatoire in Manchester, England, founded in 1893 to provide higher education in music with a primary focus on classical performance and composition. Emphasising orchestral and chamber training, it evolved through the 20th century and merged with the Northern School of Music in 1973 to form the Royal Northern College of Music, contributing to the training of generations of professional musicians.
