Deep Listening Band

Deep Listening Band are an American experimental music ensemble formed in 1988, originating from a collaboration centred on exploratory improvisation, ambient and electroacoustic practices. Their work emphasises the development of the "deep listening" practice and features extended tones, attentive communal listening and site-specific recordings that explore resonant spaces and intersect with sound art, meditative practices and acoustic ecology.
