Manfred Mann Chapter Three were a British jazz‑rock and progressive ensemble formed in London in 1969 by the musician who had led the 1960s pop group Manfred Mann, created as a more experimental project. Their music combined jazz‑fusion arrangements, brass and wind textures with avant‑garde and rock elements, and after a brief recorded run in 1969–1970 the project was reconfigured into a new band in the early 1970s.
