Franck Pourcel was a French conductor, arranger and composer who began his musical career in the 1930s, establishing himself in orchestral pop, light music and easy listening. He specialised in lush instrumental arrangements of popular melodies, worked extensively in radio, recordings and film, and blended classical orchestration techniques with contemporary popular styles.
