Erwin Schrott

Erwin Schrott is a Uruguayan operatic bass-baritone from Montevideo who began his professional career in the late 1990s, specialising in opera and concert repertoire. His singing draws on a dark, resonant timbre and a strong stage presence, and his repertoire has included works by Mozart, Rossini and Verdi as well as French and Italian operatic and crossover concert projects.
