Eubie Blake

Eubie Blake was an American pianist and composer from Baltimore, Maryland, who began his career in the early 20th century and worked primarily in ragtime and early jazz. His playing and compositions incorporated ragtime and stride piano techniques and he contributed works to early African-American musical theatre and popular song, influencing the development of 20th-century American popular music.
