Nicolas Formé

Nicolas Formé was a French composer and choirmaster active in the late 16th and early 17th centuries, notable for his work in sacred music and his association with the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. His surviving output, chiefly masses, motets and other choral pieces, reflects the transition from Renaissance polyphony to early Baroque practice and illustrates the liturgical and musical currents of Parisian church music of his era.
