Globe Unity Orchestra
Globe Unity Orchestra are a German free jazz ensemble formed in Berlin in 1966 as a large-scale collective bringing together improvisers from across Europe. Their work fused large-ensemble free improvisation with written or conducted frameworks, evolving through a rotating line-up and international collaborations that reflected developments in European avant-garde jazz from the late 1960s onwards.
