Grant Calvin Weston

Grant Calvin Weston is an American drummer from Baltimore who began his career in the late 1970s and is associated with avant-garde jazz, free-funk and the downtown New York experimental rock/no wave scenes. His playing combines polyrhythmic, funk-influenced grooves with free-jazz textures, and across a career of collaborations and ensemble work he helped bridge jazz and rock improvisation within harmolodic and experimental communities.
