Zara Levina

Zara Levina was a Soviet pianist and composer born in Kiev who trained at the Moscow Conservatory and established her career as a classical musician in the Soviet Union. Her compositions, including piano works, chamber pieces and songs, blend Romantic-influenced lyricism with the harmonic and formal tendencies of mid-20th-century Soviet music and she was active both as a performer and composer within Soviet musical life.
