The Stan Levey Group was an American jazz ensemble formed on the West Coast in the early 1950s, rooted in bebop and the cool/West Coast jazz traditions. Their musical approach blended bebop's rhythmic complexity with lighter, arranged textures associated with West Coast jazz, reflecting the post-war Los Angeles jazz milieu and evolving through small-combo recordings and live club work.
