Robert Preston

Robert Preston was an American actor and singer from Newton, Massachusetts, who began his professional career in theatre in the 1930s and worked extensively in musical theatre and screen musicals. Combining theatrical acting with popular and Broadway song styles, his work moved from stage revues and Broadway productions into Hollywood films, contributing to mid-20th-century musical theatre and film performance traditions.
