Michel Corrette

Michel Corrette was a French composer and organist born in Rouen in 1707 whose career began in the early 18th century and encompassed church, theatre and instrumental music. He composed numerous concertos, sonatas and instructional method books for a wide range of instruments, blending late Baroque idioms with emerging Classical styles and contributing to French musical pedagogy and the theatrical repertoire of his time.
