Helmut Winschermann is a German oboist and conductor who began his career in the mid-20th century and is best known for founding the chamber ensemble Deutsche Bachsolisten and for his work in Baroque and Classical repertoire. His musical approach emphasised historically informed performance practices in Baroque and early Classical works, favouring clear, transparent ensemble textures and articulated phrasing that shaped post-war German interpretations of Bach and related repertoire.
