John W. Duarte

John W. Duarte was an English classical guitarist, composer and writer born in Liverpool in 1919 whose career as a performer, teacher and composer developed from the mid-20th century. His compositions and arrangements for the classical guitar draw on Spanish, folk and jazz influences, and he contributed extensively to guitar pedagogy and to expanding the instrument's repertoire.
