Werner Dafeldecker is an Austrian double bassist and composer who emerged in the early 1990s and was a founding member of the Vienna-based ensemble Polwechsel, working across contemporary classical, free improvisation and experimental music. His work blends extended instrumental techniques with electroacoustic processing and composed structures, evolving from dense improvised textures into collaborative projects that bridge the avant-garde, new music and experimental jazz within Vienna's contemporary music scene.
