Jan Peerce

Jan Peerce was an American operatic tenor born Jacob Pincus Perelmuth in New York City in 1904, whose professional career began in the 1930s and encompassed performances on radio, in concert halls and in opera houses. Characterised by a bright, lyrical tenor and clear diction, his repertoire included standard operatic roles and popular recordings, reflecting mid-20th-century American operatic practice and crossover into broadcast and recording media.
