Richard Kapp

Richard Kapp was an American conductor who founded the Philharmonia Virtuosi of New York in the 1970s and established a career leading chamber orchestra and classical ensembles. He programmed and recorded accessible classical and light-classical repertoire that blended Baroque, Classical and popular arrangements, using broadcasts and recordings to broaden the reach of chamber orchestra music in the late 20th century.
