Maggie Nicols

Maggie Nicols is a Scottish vocalist and improviser who began performing in the late 1960s after moving to London and became associated with free improvisation and avant-garde jazz. Her work employs extended vocal techniques, collective improvisation and participatory workshops, and she has been involved in feminist and community-led initiatives that contributed to the development of the European free-improvisation scene.
