Sigmund Romberg

Sigmund Romberg was a Hungarian-born composer who relocated to the United States in the early 20th century and worked extensively in Broadway operetta and musical theatre. Influenced by the Viennese operetta tradition, his work combined lyrical melodies and romantic orchestration with elements of American popular song and jazz, adapting European light-opera forms for Broadway audiences.
