Billie Holiday

Billie Holiday (born Eleanora Fagan; 7 April 1915 – 17 July 1959) was an American jazz and blues singer and songwriter whose repertoire addressed themes of love, loss and racial injustice. She was active as a recording and performing artist from the 1930s through the 1950s.
