Lambert de Sayve

Lambert de Sayve was a Flemish composer from the Low Countries active in the late 16th and early 17th centuries, serving in Habsburg court musical establishments and composing in both sacred and secular genres. Working within the Franco‑Flemish polyphonic tradition, his output includes liturgical masses and motets as well as Italianate madrigals, reflecting a stylistic shift from Renaissance contrapuntal technique toward the expressive textures associated with the early Baroque and the cultural exchange between northern and Italian styles.
