Collective Soul are an American rock band formed in Stockbridge, Georgia, in 1992, associated with alternative rock and post-grunge. Their music blends melodic, guitar-driven alternative rock with post-grunge elements and shifted from rougher, lo-fi sounds to cleaner, radio-friendly production through the 1990s, and they received regular airplay on United States rock radio.
