The Pied Pipers

The Pied Pipers are an American vocal group formed in Los Angeles in the late 1930s, emerging in the popular and swing vocal tradition and establishing their career through collaborations with big bands and radio broadcasts. Their close-harmony, pop and swing-oriented style evolved through the 1940s into mainstream popular music, and they became a presence in wartime American popular culture through recordings and broadcasts.
