e. e. cummings

e. e. cummings was an American poet, painter and essayist born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who began publishing poetry in the 1910s and is commonly associated with modernist and avant-garde literature. He employed inventive typography, unconventional punctuation and syntactic experimentation, evolving from early modernist experimentation to later poems that foreground themes of individuality, love and nature within the cultural context of early to mid-20th-century America.
