The Caretaker

The Caretaker is a British electronic music project formed in the mid-1990s that operates within ambient, hauntology and experimental genres. Using processed and degraded early 20th-century ballroom recordings, tape manipulation and long-form conceptual releases, the project examines themes of memory, nostalgia and progressive cognitive decline, most notably through the multi-stage work Everywhere at the End of Time.
