Yuja Wang (Chinese: 王羽佳) is a Chinese classical pianist from Beijing, born in 1987, who began piano studies as a child and trained at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing before continuing her studies at the Curtis Institute of Music and launching an international performing career in the 2000s. Her repertoire spans Baroque, Classical and Romantic works through to contemporary compositions, and her playing is characterised by technical precision and brisk articulation alongside a frequent inclusion of modern pieces, reflecting the growing presence of Chinese-born musicians on the international classical stage.
