Time Zone

Time Zone are a collaborative studio project formed in New York City in the early 1980s that combined elements of electro, hip hop and post‑punk. Their recordings fused drum machine‑driven beats, synthesiser production and vocal approaches drawn from both rap and punk, and exemplified early cross‑genre collaboration between downtown post‑punk and the emerging hip hop scene.
