Eduard Franck

Eduard Franck was a German composer and pianist born in Breslau (now Wrocław) in 1817 who began his career in the mid-19th century within the Romantic tradition. He composed piano works, chamber music and orchestral pieces characterised by lyrical melodies and adherence to classical forms, and his output reflects the musical life of 19th-century Germany centred on conservatoires and salons.
