Vittorio Monti

Vittorio Monti was an Italian composer, violinist and conductor from Naples who began his career in the late 19th century, composing and arranging works for the classical salon and operetta traditions. His music, exemplified by the showpiece Csárdás, blends Italian melodic lyricism with Central European dance forms and continues to be performed as a virtuosic piece for violinists and ensembles.
