Ercole Bernabei

Ercole Bernabei was an Italian Baroque composer and church musician active from the mid-17th century, who began his career in Italy and later took up posts at a German court. His output concentrated on sacred vocal and liturgical music that blended Roman polyphonic practice with the concertato textures and instrumental colours of the Baroque, and his later works show the influence of the German court milieu he served in.
