Gentil Montaña

Gentil Montaña was a Colombian classical guitarist and composer who began his career in the mid-20th century, specialising in solo guitar repertoire that fused classical techniques with Colombian folk traditions. His compositions draw on rhythms such as bambuco, pasillo and guabina and include suites, études and pedagogical works that contributed to the classical guitar repertoire while reflecting Colombian musical culture.
