Irvine Arditti

Irvine Arditti is a British violinist who began his career in the 1970s and is particularly associated with contemporary classical music, founding and leading an ensemble devoted to new music. He has commissioned and premiered numerous works for the violin and developed extended techniques and performance practices that have shaped contemporary classical repertoire.
