Symphony Nova Scotia is a Canadian professional orchestra based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, formed in 1983 as a successor to earlier orchestral ensembles and primarily focused on classical orchestral and chamber repertoire. Its repertoire and programming encompass traditional symphonic works, contemporary commissions and crossover collaborations, with regular community outreach and projects that engage regional cultural traditions and contemporary music-making.
