Spoleto Festival Orchestra

Spoleto Festival Orchestra is an American classical orchestra formed in Charleston, South Carolina in 1977 as the resident ensemble for the newly established Spoleto Festival USA. Its repertoire encompasses opera, symphonic and chamber works for festival productions, and its activities have since expanded to include touring, festival collaborations and studio recordings, reflecting an emphasis on festival-oriented programmes and cross-cultural exchange.
