Roman Haubenstock-Ramati was a Polish-born composer and editor who began his career in the mid-20th century and worked in avant-garde and contemporary classical music. He pioneered graphic notation and experimental score formats, and his editorial and teaching activities helped disseminate contemporary repertoire and new notational practices across European musical institutions.
