Steve McCall

Steve McCall was an American jazz drummer from Chicago who began his career in the 1960s and worked primarily in free jazz and avant-garde jazz. He played light, textural and highly interactive drumming in improvising ensembles, co-founded an improvising trio, and moved between the Chicago and New York scenes where he contributed to the AACM-influenced avant-jazz movement.
