Thelma Votipka

Thelma Votipka was an American operatic mezzo-soprano who began her professional career in the 1930s and performed principally in the United States. She specialised in comprimario and character roles at major opera houses, appearing frequently in mid-20th-century American operatic repertory and supporting both new productions and revivals.
