Robert Kahn
Robert Kahn was a German composer and pianist born in Mannheim in 1865 whose career began in the late 19th century and centred on Romantic-era chamber music, Lieder and piano works. Rooted in the late-Romantic German Lied and chamber tradition with lyrical melodies and classical forms, his style and output were affected by the cultural and political upheavals of 20th-century Germany, including emigration which influenced the subsequent reception of his music.
