Eleazar de Carvalho

Eleazar de Carvalho was a Brazilian conductor and composer who began his career in the mid-20th century and worked primarily in the classical orchestral genre. His work focused on symphonic repertoire, included advocacy for Brazilian composers within concert programmes, and encompassed teaching and mentorship that influenced conducting practice in Brazil and abroad.
