Joey Baron

Joey Baron is an American jazz drummer from New York City who began his professional career in the late 1970s and has been active in avant-garde, free jazz and modern jazz circles. His playing combines rhythmic flexibility and a wide dynamic range, moving between small acoustic ensembles and more electric or experimental projects and drawing on bebop, rock and free improvisation to shape contemporary jazz contexts.
