Jan Van der Roost

Jan Van der Roost is a Belgian composer, born in 1956, who began composing and publishing works for wind bands, brass bands, choirs and orchestra from the late 20th century. His music combines neoclassical forms, modal and tonal harmonies and folk-influenced melodies with techniques tailored to wind and brass ensembles, and his output has contributed to the expansion of contemporary wind-band repertoire and educational literature.
