Wilma Lipp was an Austrian operatic soprano from Vienna who began her professional career in the 1940s and became closely associated with major Austrian opera houses, specialising in Mozart and operetta repertoire. Characterised by a bright lyric-colouratura technique and clear diction, her repertoire and recordings reflect a traditional classical approach and she played a part in the post-war Viennese operatic scene while later passing on her experience through teaching and studio work.
