Elkie Brooks

Elkie Brooks is an English singer from Salford, Lancashire, who began her career in the 1960s performing blues, jazz, rock and pop in clubs and as part of vocal groups before establishing herself as a solo artist. Her musical style blends blues- and soul-inflected vocals with elements of jazz, rock and adult contemporary, and over the decades she has alternated between studio work and regular live performances within the British popular music scene.
